Coach Hicklin brings more than 26 years of leadership experience in both football coaching and military service. Throughout his career, he has coached the game at multiple levels, developing the ability to connect with athletes from youth programs through adult competition while emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and personal growth.
In addition to his football experience, Coach Hicklin has served in leadership roles responsible for managing and mentoring dozens of soldiers, bringing a strong foundation of structure, accountability, and team development to the Sabercats organization.
With the Seattle Sabercats, Coach Hicklin serves as Assistant Defensive Backs Coach while also acting as the organization’s Public Relations Liaison with Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM). In this role, he helps strengthen connections between the team and the military community across the region.
Coach Hicklin will also lead the Sabercats’ youth football camps during the summer, creating opportunities for young athletes throughout the surrounding communities to develop their skills, learn the fundamentals of the game, and experience the leadership values that football can teach.
